The students this year decided to continue their theme of giving to others that we started with Tropical Storm Irene and after looking at the “Giving” page in the Free Press, decided to make cat and dog toys for Lucy’s House for the Prevention of Homeless Pets in Essex Junction. The toys will be given to food shelves over the holidays to help keep pets in their homes. Many students made toys at home and brought them in and today we all had a chance to make some toys in class. There was a lot of enthusiasm for this project and I’m sure the pets will appreciate it.
