Now and Then in South Hero History

Students each have two pictures of places in South Hero from either Now or Then. Learning about the past and how things have changed is supported greatly by tapping into the seniors on town who actually lived here when life was quite different. Junior and Bernita Tourville took Terry and Jerry Robinson on an amazing tour around South Hero teaches us many changes in how buildings were used and how life was different or similar to life today. A trivia quiz was made from the tour and prizes given out to all students who connected with a neighbor to learn more about their town and their town and those who have lived here most of their lives.

Now students each have two pictures of buildings or places in town that they are trying to locate and trying to find information about when it was built and what has happened there over the years. An example of neighbor helping neighbor or even more neighbor appreciating neighbor!! Here are some of those pictures with descriptions to come.
